Your personal data is processed and protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 25 May 2018), and is only shared with third parties where this is necessary for a specific purpose, such as legal obligations or the provision of a service.
This privacy policy describes what types of information the textlab collects, why it does so, how that information is used, and your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data.

2. What data does the textlab collect?
Personal data that you voluntarily provide in connection with a request for the provision of a service.
Data that website host Squarespace requires to run the site, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace uses anonymised data.
Data collected may include:
identification data (for example name, surname, email address);
our communication (by email, contact form, telephone or other means);
the type of domain from which you connect to the textlab website;
your IP address;
the date and time of your visit to the textlab website;
your geographical location (country, region and city);
the pages you visit on the textlab website;
the type of device, browser and operating system you use;
the web page from which you arrived at the textlab website (search engine keywords, blogs, social media, email, etc.);
other data necessary for the provision of the textlab's services;
any other data you provide us with.
3. Why does the textlab collect my personal data?
This is primarily to provide and improve the textlab's services and to communicate with you.
the textlab also monitors who visits the website and visitor behaviour, as this information helps provide the best possible user experience.
the textlab shares this anonymised data with Squarespace's web analytics service.
4. How does the textlab collect my personal data?
The majority of your data is provided by yourself, for example when you get in touch with us.
Other data, such as the pages you view, your location and the date and time of your visit to the website, is collected automatically via cookies.
You can find more information about cookies, and how the textlab uses them, in the cookie policy. You can disable non-essential cookies by clicking "decline cookies" in the pop-up banner on arrival at thetextlab.com.
5. How secure is my personal data with the textlab?
In addition to a strict privacy policy, the textlab takes all reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised leaks, destruction, loss, disclosure, use of, access to or alteration of your data.
6. How long does the textlab retain my data?
Your data is retained for as long as is necessary to achieve specific business purposes (see point 3) or to comply with legal obligations.
Once these have been fulfilled, the data is deleted or anonymised.
7. What are my rights under the GDPR?
You can - at any time - request to review or correct your data, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to the use of your data, or request that the textlab restricts its use.

8. Who has access to my personal data?
the textlab owner Helene Miseur and specific data processors (who provide the textlab with email and website services) have access to your data.
This access is limited to what is necessary for the provision of services and/or fulfilling the purpose of processing (see point 3).
the textlab treats all data with strict confidentiality. Website host Squarespace uses exclusively anonymised data.
9. Is my personal data sent abroad?
the textlab only transfers your data to a non-EU country insofar as this is essential for the provision of services and the country in question offers an adequate level of protection.
10. Does the textlab collect personal data from children?
No. the textlab website and services are neither intended for, nor directed at, people under the age of 18.
If you discover that your underage child has provided personal data without your consent, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thetextlab.com.
11. How will I be notified if this privacy policy changes?
A pop-up banner on thetextlab.com will announce changes to the privacy policy.
This banner will remain visible for fourteen days following the date of publication of the new privacy policy.
The effective date of this privacy policy corresponds to the date stated at the beginning of this document.

2. Welke gegevens verzamelt the textlab?
Persoonsgegevens die u vrijwillig doorgeeft aan the textlab naar aanleiding van een verzoek tot de levering van een dienst.
Gegevens die website host Squarespace nodig heeft voor het beheer van de site en het beschermen en verbeteren van het platform en diensten. Squarespace gebruikt hiervoor geanonimiseerde gegevens.

3. Waarom verzamelt the textlab mijn persoonsgegevens?
Dit is voornamelijk om the textlab diensten te leveren, te verbeteren en om met elkaar te communiceren.
the textlab houdt ook bij wie de website bezoekt, en hoe bezoekers zich gedragen op de website, omdat die informatie helpt in het voortdurende streven naar de beste gebruikerservaring.
the textlab deelt deze geanonimiseerde gegevens met de webanalyse dienst van Squarespace.
4. Hoe verzamelt the textlab mijn persoonsgegevens?
Het grootste deel van uw gegevens deelt u zelf mee, bijvoorbeeld wanneer u contact opneemt bij een verzoek tot dienstverlening.
Andere gegevens, zoals welke pagina’s u bekijkt, uw locatie en datum/tijd van toegang tot de website, worden automatisch verzameld via cookies.

5. Hoe veilig zijn mijn persoonsgegevens bij the textlab?
Naast een strikt privacybeleid neemt the textlab alle redelijke maatregelen om ervoor te zorgen dat ongeoorloofde lekken, vernietiging, verlies, openbaarmaking, gebruik, toegang tot of wijziging van uw gegevens voorkomen worden.
6. Hoe lang bewaart the textlab mijn gegevens?
Uw gegevens worden bewaard zolang nodig is om bepaalde zakelijke doelen te bereiken (zie punt 3) of om te voldoen aan wettelijke verplichtingen.
Wanneer deze uitgevoerd zijn, worden de gegevens verwijderd of geanonimiseerd.
7. Welke rechten heb ik in het kader van de AVG?
U kunt op elk moment verzoeken om de gegevens die the textlab over u verzamelt, te controleren, corrigeren, of te laten verwijderen.
U kunt zich verzetten tegen het gebruik ervan, of vragen dat the textlab het gebruik van uw gegevens beperkt.

8. Wie heeft toegang tot mijn persoonsgegevens?
the textlab eigenaar Helene Miseur en verwerkers (die the textlab voorzien van email en website diensten) hebben toegang tot uw gegevens.
Die toegang is uitsluitend voor zover noodzakelijk is voor de levering van diensten en/of het bereiken van het doel van de verwerking (zie punt 3).
the textlab behandelt alle data onder strikte geheimhoudingsplicht. Website host Squarespace hanteert uitsluitend geanonimiseerde gegevens.
9. Worden mijn persoonsgegevens naar het buitenland verstuurd?
the textlab geeft uw gegevens alleen door aan een niet-EU-land voor zover dit essentieel is in het kader van de levering van diensten, en het een geschikt beschermingsniveau biedt.
10. Verzamelt the textlab persoonsgegevens van minderjarigen?
Nee. the textlab website en diensten zijn niet bedoeld voor, noch gericht op, personen jonger dan 18 jaar.
Als u ontdekt dat uw minderjarig kind zonder uw toestemming persoonlijke gegevens heeft verstrekt, neem dan zo snel mogelijk contact op via info@thetextlab.com.
11. Hoe word ik verwittigd als dit privacybeleid gewijzigd wordt?
Een pop-up banner op thetextlab.com kondigt wijzigingen in het privacybeleid aan.
Deze banner zal gedurende veertien (14) dagen na de datum van publicatie van het nieuwe privacybeleid, zichtbaar blijven.
De datum van inwerkingtreding van dit privacybeleid stemt overeen met de vermelde datum in het begin van dit document.
