About.

I grew up across Sweden, the UK and Belgium, moving between languages and school systems from an early age. That experience shaped something fundamental about how I work: I learned to read contexts quickly, adapt to unfamiliar environments and handle language with the perspective that comes from thinking in more than one.

I studied journalism in the UK and began my career there as a B2B journalist in the maritime industry. A deepening interest in how language works led me to a Master’s in Applied Linguistics, grounding in theory what I’d been practising instinctively since childhood.

Since then, my work has moved through international education, higher education and commercial environments in several European countries. Each setting brought different audiences, different expectations and a different professional culture to navigate — and that breadth is now central to what I offer.

I work professionally in English, Dutch and Swedish, with English as my primary language of delivery. I am based in Belgium and collaborate with clients across Europe.

the textlab is my independent consultancy practice.
